HELLA Washer Water Pumps have been developed for two different applications: for windshield washers and for headLight washers. Pumps for windshield cleaning systems are required for on-demand cleaning of windshields. Pumps for headlight washers require more energy than pumps for windshield washers because the headlights are cleaned with a water jet under higher pressure. To adapt to the piping system, a connection is used that enables simple, quick and safe adjustment of the hose arrangement. Thanks to its special know-how and high quality standards, HELLA is a leader in the segment of windshield and headlight cleaning systems. Structure and function: The windshield washer pump has a water intake and 2x water outlets that can be used alternately. Depending on the direction of rotation of the DC motor, one or the other water outlet is used. The direction of rotation of the DC motor depends on the polarity of the connections. The pump can be controlled via the Front Control Module (FCM), for example.
