Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the air filter housing
- Locate the air filter box in the engine bay.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the air box cover screws or clamps.
- If your cover uses clips, use a flat-blade screwdriver to gently release them.
- Do not force the cover.
Step 2: Remove the old air filter
- Lift the air box cover carefully.
- Use your gloves to remove the old filter.
- Check the housing for leaves, dirt, or debris.
- If needed, wipe the inside of the box clean with a dry cloth.
Step 3: Install the new air filter
- Place the new engine air filter into the housing the same way the old one came out.
- Make sure the filter sits flat all the way around.
