🌬️ Crosstour - Cabin Air Filter Replacement

Replacing your cabin air filter helps keep the air inside your Crosstour fresh and clean. This is a simple job you can do yourself—no special tools needed!

  • 🧰 Tools & Parts Needed:
    • New cabin air filter (Honda part # 80292-TY4-A41 or equivalent)
    • Phillips screwdriver (optional, but not usually needed)
    • Flashlight (helpful for seeing inside the glove box)

Safety Tip: Make sure your Crosstour is parked, engine off, and the key is out of the ignition.

📝 Step-by-Step Instructions

  • 🧤 Empty the glove box.
    • Remove everything inside so nothing falls out during the process.
  • 🧩 Release the glove box stops.
    • Look for the small arm (damper) on the right side of the glove box. Gently unhook it by sliding it off the pin.
    • Squeeze both sides of the glove box inward to release the side stops. The glove box will swing down further, giving you access behind it.
  • 📦 Locate and open the cabin air filter cover.
    • Behind the glove box, you'll see a rectangular plastic cover. Press the tabs on both sides and pull it straight out.
  • 🌫️ Remove the old filter.
    • Slide the old filter straight out. Tip: Have a small trash bag ready—the old filter may be dusty!
  • 🆕 Install the new filter.
    • Make sure the airflow arrow on the new filter points down (match the arrow on the filter frame or cover).
    • Slide the new filter into the slot.
  • 🔒 Reinstall the cover and glove box.
    • Snap the filter cover back in place.
    • Lift the glove box and squeeze the sides to pop the stops back in.
    • Reattach the damper arm on the right side.
    • Put your items back in the glove box.

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • 🧽 Wipe out the filter slot with a damp cloth if you see dust or leaves.
  • 📅 Replace your cabin air filter every 15,000 miles or once a year for best air quality.
