Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Locate the Belt Routing

- If the decal is missing, use your photo and the old belt position as your guide.
- Photo first, remove second.

- Move the duct just enough to create hand clearance near the belt tensioner.

- Use the 3/8-inch drive serpentine belt tool, 3/8-inch drive ratchet, or 15mm wrench to rotate the tensioner again.
- Slide the new belt over the final pulley by hand.
- Slowly release the tensioner until it tightens the belt.
- Do not let the tensioner snap back. Ease it back slowly.
Step 9: Verify Belt Alignment
- Use a work light to inspect every pulley.
- Confirm the belt ribs are centered in each grooved pulley.
- Confirm the belt is not hanging off the edge of any pulley.
- If the belt is off by even one rib, use the serpentine belt tool to release tension and reseat it.
Step 10: Reinstall Removed Intake Parts
- Reposition the air intake duct if it was moved.
- Use a flathead screwdriver or 10mm socket to tighten the hose clamp snugly.
- No high torque is needed for the hose clamp; tighten until secure and stop.
Step 11: Reconnect the Battery
- If the negative battery cable was disconnected, place it back on the negative battery post.
- Use a 10mm socket to tighten the terminal nut until snug.
- Do not overtighten the battery terminal.
Step 12: Start and Check Operation
