Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the fuel door
- Use your hand to press the fuel door (itās a push-to-open style) and swing it open.
- Put on nitrile gloves and safety glasses.
Step 2: Remove the old fuel cap
- Turn the cap counterclockwise until it releases, then lift it off.
- If the cap is attached to a tether (a short retaining strap), let it hangādonāt pull or twist the tether hard.

Step 3: Install the new fuel cap
- Place the new cap onto the filler neck opening.
