🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open and empty the glove box
- Open the glove box and remove all items inside.
- Lower the glove box fully so you can reach the stops on both sides.
Step 2: Release the glove box stops
- Use a flat trim tool or your fingers to gently squeeze the glove box sides inward.
- Let the glove box swing down past the stops.
- Go slow to avoid broken tabs.
Step 3: Remove the cabin filter cover
- Use your hand to unclip or slide off the cabin filter access cover behind the glove box.
- Set the cover aside.
Step 4: Remove the old cabin air filter
- Pull the old filter straight out.
- Watch the airflow arrow direction on the old filter before removing it.
Step 5: Install the new cabin air filter
- Use the same airflow arrow direction as the old filter.
- Slide the new filter in fully and make sure it sits flat.
- Match the arrow exactly.
Step 6: Reinstall the cover and glove box
- Use your hand to reinstall the filter cover.
- Lift the glove box back into place.
- Gently push the sides inward and set the stops back in position.
