Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Recover the Refrigerant

- Never vent refrigerant outdoors.
Step 2: Raise and Support the Front
- Use a floor jack rated 2-ton minimum at the front center jacking point.
- Place jack stands rated 2-ton minimum under the front support points.
- Use wheel chocks at the rear wheels before working underneath.
Step 3: Remove the Lower Splash Shield

Step 9: Install the New Compressor

- Use a 14mm socket to snug the mounting bolts evenly.
- Use a torque wrench 5-80 Nm to tighten the compressor mounting bolts to 20-25 Nm (15-18 ft-lbs).
Step 10: Install New A/C Line O-Rings
- Remove the old O-rings from the suction and discharge line fittings using needle-nose pliers if needed.
- Lightly coat the new O-rings with clean PAG oil for R-1234yf A/C systems.
- Install the new O-rings by hand. Make sure they sit flat and are not twisted.
- Reconnect the A/C lines to the compressor.
- Use a 12mm socket and torque wrench 5-80 Nm to tighten the line retaining bolts to 8-12 Nm (71-106 in-lbs).
Step 11: Reconnect the Electrical Connector
- Push the compressor electrical connector in by hand until it clicks.
- Gently tug the connector to confirm it is locked.
Step 12: Reinstall the Serpentine Belt
- Route the belt around the pulleys according to the belt routing label or your photo.
