🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the tailgate

• Lower the tailgate to expose the tail lamp mounting fasteners.

Step 2: Remove the tail lamp fasteners

• Use a 10mm socket and ratchet to remove the two tail lamp bolts.
• Set the bolts aside safely.
• Keep steady pressure while loosening.

Step 3: Release the tail lamp assembly

• Pull the tail lamp straight back to release the alignment pins.
• If it sticks, use a trim panel tool gently at the edge.
• Do not pry hard against the paint or lens.

Step 4: Remove the bulb socket

• Twist the turn signal bulb socket counterclockwise by hand and pull it out of the tail lamp housing.
• Inspect the socket for heat damage, moisture, or corrosion.

Step 5: Replace the bulb

• Remove the old bulb from the socket by pulling it straight out.
• Install the new rear turn signal bulb into the socket until it seats fully.
• Make sure the bulb is fully locked in place.
