📋 Before You Begin

• Park your Pilot on level ground.
• Turn the ignition off and make sure the wiper switch is off.
• Lift each wiper arm gently away from the windshield.
• Place a clean microfiber towel on the windshield under the wiper arm area.
• A wiper arm is the spring-loaded metal arm that holds the rubber blade against the glass.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Lift the Driver-Side Wiper Arm

• Use your gloved hand with nitrile gloves to lift the driver-side wiper arm away from the windshield.
• Set a clean microfiber towel on the glass under the arm.
• Do not pull the arm higher than it naturally stops.
• Keep one hand on the arm.

Step 2: Find the Blade Release Tab

• Look where the wiper blade connects to the wiper arm.
• Use your gloved thumb with nitrile gloves to press the small release tab on the blade connector.
• The connector is the small plastic latch that locks the blade onto the hook-shaped arm.

Step 3: Remove the Old Driver-Side Blade

• While pressing the release tab with nitrile gloves, slide the old blade downward toward the base of the wiper arm.
• Unhook the blade from the J-hook end of the arm and remove it.
• A J-hook is the curved hook at the end of the wiper arm that holds the blade.
• Gently lower the bare arm onto the clean microfiber towel if you need both hands.

Step 4: Install the New Driver-Side Blade

• Use your gloved hands with nitrile gloves to hold the new 26-inch driver-side blade.
• Slide the blade connector into the J-hook on the wiper arm.
• Pull the blade upward into the hook until it clicks and locks.
• Gently tug the blade by hand to confirm it is locked in place.
• Listen for the click.

Step 5: Lower the Driver-Side Wiper

• Remove the clean microfiber towel from under the driver-side arm.
• Slowly lower the wiper blade onto the windshield by hand.
• Do not let it drop.

Step 6: Replace the Passenger-Side Blade

• Use nitrile gloves to lift the passenger-side wiper arm away from the windshield.
• Place the clean microfiber towel on the windshield under the arm.
• Press the blade release tab with your gloved thumb.
• Slide the old blade downward, unhook it from the J-hook, and remove it.
• Install the new 24-inch passenger-side blade by sliding it into the J-hook until it clicks.
• Gently tug the blade by hand to make sure it is locked.

Step 7: Lower the Passenger-Side Wiper

• Remove the clean microfiber towel.
• Slowly lower the passenger-side wiper blade onto the windshield by hand.
• Check that both blades sit flat against the glass.

Step 8: Test the New Wipers

• Use the windshield washer spray from inside your Pilot to wet the glass before testing.
• Turn the wipers on low speed and watch both blades sweep smoothly.
• If a blade chatters or skips, turn the wipers off and confirm the blade is fully clicked into the J-hook.
