• Park your HR-V on level ground.
• Shift to Park.
• Set the parking brake.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Lift the Driver-Side Wiper Arm

• Put on safety glasses and nitrile gloves.
• Lift the driver-side wiper arm away from the windshield until it stays raised.
• Place the large towel on the windshield under the raised arm.
• No torque spec applies because no fasteners are removed.
• Never leave the arm bare.

Step 2: Rotate the Old Driver-Side Blade

• Hold the wiper arm with one hand.
• With your other hand, rotate the old wiper blade so it sits almost perpendicular to the arm.
• Look for the small locking tab where the blade attaches to the hook.
• The locking tab is a small plastic latch that keeps the blade from sliding off the arm.

Step 3: Remove the Old Driver-Side Blade

• Press the locking tab by hand.
• While holding the tab, slide the old blade downward toward the base of the wiper arm.
• Guide the blade out of the curved hook.
• Keep one hand on the metal wiper arm the whole time.
• Control the arm at all times.

Step 4: Install the New Driver-Side Blade

• Compare the new driver-side blade to the old one using your hands and the towel-covered windshield as a safe work surface.

• Pull the blade upward into the hook until it clicks.

Step 5: Lower the Driver-Side Wiper Arm

• Hold the wiper arm with one hand.
• Remove the large towel from under the blade.
• Slowly lower the wiper arm until the new blade rests on the windshield.

Step 6: Replace the Passenger-Side Blade

• Lift the passenger-side wiper arm away from the windshield.
• Place the large towel on the windshield under the raised arm.
• Rotate the old passenger-side blade perpendicular to the arm.
• Press the locking tab by hand.
• Slide the old blade downward and out of the hook.
• Slide the new passenger-side blade into the hook.
• Pull the blade upward until it clicks into place.
• Gently tug the blade by hand to confirm it is locked.
• Slowly lower the arm onto the windshield.
• No torque spec applies because no fasteners are removed.

Step 7: Test the New Wipers

• Spray washer fluid onto the windshield using the wiper stalk.
• Turn the wipers on low speed using the wiper stalk.
• Watch both blades sweep smoothly without chatter, skipping, or lifting.
• If a blade streaks, wipe the rubber edge with the large towel and test again.
