🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Lift the Driver Wiper Arm

• Put on safety glasses and nitrile gloves.
• Lift the driver-side wiper arm away from the windshield by hand.
• Stop when the arm stays raised on its own.
• Keep the shop towel between the arm and glass.
• Hold the arm the whole time.

Step 2: Release the Old Driver Wiper Blade

• Use your fingers to press the small release tab on the wiper blade connector.
• Slide the old blade downward toward the base of the wiper arm.
• Pull the blade off the J-hook end of the arm.
• A J-hook is the curved hook-shaped end of the wiper arm that locks the blade in place.

• Use your fingers to press the release tab on the passenger wiper blade connector.
• Slide the old blade downward toward the base of the wiper arm.
• Pull the blade off the J-hook end by hand.
• Keep the arm raised and controlled so it cannot fall onto the glass.

Step 6: Install the New Passenger Wiper Blade

• Take the new 20-inch front wiper blade out of its packaging.
• Use your hands to slide the blade connector into the J-hook on the wiper arm.
• Pull the blade upward into the hook until it clicks.
• Lightly tug the blade by hand to verify it is secure.
• Lower the wiper arm gently onto the windshield.
• No torque specification applies because no fasteners are removed.

Step 7: Test the Wipers

• Remove the shop towel from the windshield.
• Spray washer fluid using the wiper switch.
• Run the front wipers for a few passes.
• Watch for streaking, chatter, skipping, or loose blade movement.
• If a blade lifts or shifts, turn the wipers off and re-seat the connector by hand until it clicks.
