🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Protect the windshield

• Use a clean microfiber towel and place it on the windshield under the driver-side wiper arm.
• This protects the glass if the arm slips from your hand.
• Put on safety glasses and nitrile gloves.

Step 2: Lift the driver-side wiper arm

• Use your hand to lift the driver-side wiper arm away from the windshield.
• Hold the metal arm securely while working.
• Never release a bare wiper arm.

Step 3: Release the old driver-side blade

• Use your thumb to press the small locking tab on the blade adapter.
• Slide the old blade downward toward the base of the wiper arm until it clears the hook.

• Slide the old blade downward toward the base of the wiper arm until it releases from the hook.
• Use your hand to remove the old blade.

Step 8: Install the new passenger-side blade

• Use your hand to line up the new 16" front wiper blade with the hook end of the wiper arm.
• Slide the blade upward into the hook until it clicks into place.
• Use your hand to gently tug the blade to confirm it is locked.
• No torque spec applies because the blade clips on by hand.

Step 9: Lower the passenger-side wiper arm

• Use your hand to slowly lower the passenger-side wiper arm onto the windshield.
• Remove the clean microfiber towel from the windshield.

Step 10: Test the new wipers

• Use the windshield washer switch to spray washer fluid.
• Run the wipers on low speed for a few passes.
• Check that both blades wipe smoothly without skipping, streaking, or hitting the windshield trim.
