📋 Before You Begin

• Park your Frontier on level ground.
• Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key.
• Make sure the wiper switch is OFF.
• Place a clean microfiber towel on the windshield under the wiper arm you are working on.
• A hook-style wiper arm is a curved metal arm end shaped like a “J” that locks into the blade adapter.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Lift the Driver Wiper Arm

• Use your hand to gently lift the driver-side wiper arm away from the windshield.
• Keep one hand on the arm at all times so it cannot spring back.
• Use the clean microfiber towel as padding on the glass below the arm.
• Never release a bare wiper arm.

Step 2: Release the Old Driver Wiper Blade

• Use your gloved hand to rotate the wiper blade so it sits nearly perpendicular to the wiper arm.
• Find the small locking tab on the blade adapter where it attaches to the hook.
• Use your thumb to press the locking tab inward.
• If the tab is tight, use the edge of the clean microfiber towel to improve grip.

Step 3: Slide the Old Blade Off the Hook

• Use your hand to slide the old wiper blade downward toward the base of the wiper arm.
• The blade will move out of the J-hook and release from the arm.
• Keep holding the metal wiper arm firmly after the blade comes off.
• Lay the bare arm gently onto the microfiber towel if you need both hands.

Step 4: Install the New Driver Wiper Blade

• Use your hand to position the new 24" driver wiper blade under the hook end of the arm.
• Slide the blade adapter upward into the J-hook until it clicks.
• Pull gently on the blade by hand to confirm it is locked in place.
• No torque wrench is used here; it locks by hand pressure only.
• Torque to hand-tight only

Step 5: Lower the Driver Wiper Arm

• Use your hand to slowly lower the wiper arm and blade back onto the windshield.
• Make sure the rubber blade sits flat against the glass.
• Remove the microfiber towel from that side.

Step 6: Replace the Passenger Wiper Blade

• Use your hand to lift the passenger-side wiper arm away from the windshield.
• Place the clean microfiber towel on the glass under the arm.
• Use your thumb to press the blade adapter locking tab.
• Slide the old blade down and out of the hook by hand.
• Install the new 16" passenger wiper blade by sliding it into the hook until it clicks.
• Pull gently by hand to verify it is locked.
• Torque to hand-tight only

Step 7: Test the New Wipers

• Use your hand to remove all towels and packaging from the windshield area.
• Turn the ignition to ON.
• Use the wiper switch to spray washer fluid before running the wipers.
• Run the wipers for a few passes and check that both blades wipe smoothly.
• If a blade chatters or skips, use a clean microfiber towel to wipe the rubber edge and windshield.
