đź“‹ Before You Begin
- 🅿️ Park on level ground and turn the ignition OFF.
- Lift each wiper arm carefully away from the windshield.
- Place a clean shop towel on the lower windshield area, and add a small strip of masking tape on the glass under each wiper area. Extra protection if the arm slips.
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Lift the wiper arms
- Lift the driver-side wiper arm up until it stays raised.
- Repeat for the passenger-side arm.
- Keep a clean shop towel between the arm and glass area.
Step 2: Remove the old wiper blade
- Hold the wiper arm with one hand (wear mechanic gloves for grip).
- At the blade’s connector, find the small release tab/clip.
- Press the release tab with your thumb, then slide the blade down and off the hook/connector.
- Don’t twist hard—slide it straight off.
Step 3: Install the new wiper blade
- Remove the new blade from packaging and confirm the correct length for that side (Driver: 26", Passenger: 22").
- Line up the new blade’s connector with the wiper arm hook.
- Slide it into place until you hear/feel a “click” (that means the lock is engaged).
- Gently tug the blade (light pull) to confirm it’s locked in.
Step 4: Lower the wiper arms back onto the windshield
- Carefully lower each arm back down to the glass—do not let it drop.
- Remove the masking tape and clean shop towel.
âś… After Repair
- Turn the ignition ON and run the washers/wipers for 10–15 seconds.
- Confirm both blades wipe cleanly with no streaking and no “chatter” (skipping).
