š§ Pilot - Front Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement
On your Pilot, the easiest (and safest) way to change the front wiper blades is to put the wiper arms into the āmaintenance/service positionā first. This lifts the blades away from the hood edge so you donāt chip paint or crack the windshield.

- ā ļø Keep fingers clear of the wiper arm springāif it snaps down, it can crack the glass.
- ā ļø Put a folded towel on the windshield under the arm while the blade is off.
- ā ļø Use the wiper maintenance/service position so the arm doesnāt hit the hood.
- ā ļø Battery disconnect is not required.

š Before You Begin
- Park on level ground and shift to P.
- Turn the vehicle OFF and remove anything from the windshield area.
- Have a microfiber towel ready to protect the glass.
šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Put the wipers in maintenance/service position
- Turn ignition to ON (engine can stay off).
- Turn ignition OFF.
- Within 10 seconds, move and hold the wiper stalk to MIST for about 2 seconds.
- The wipers should move up and stop in a raised āserviceā position. This prevents hood contact.
Step 2: Lift the first wiper arm safely
- Use the microfiber towel and lay it on the windshield under the wiper area.
- Lift the wiper arm away from the glass and keep a hand on it (itās spring-loaded).
Step 3: Remove the old blade from the wiper arm
- Rotate the blade so you can see the connector where it clips to the arm.
- Press the small release tab on the connector and slide the blade off the arm hook.
- If it feels stuck, keep the tab pressed and wiggle while slidingādonāt pry on the glass.
Step 4: Install the new blade
- Slide the new blade connector onto the wiper arm until it clicks.
- Gently tug the blade to confirm itās locked in place.
Step 5: Repeat on the other side
- Use the microfiber towel again and repeat Steps 2ā4 for the other front wiper.
- Replace both blades together for best wiping.
Step 6: Return wipers to normal position
- Lower both wiper arms carefully back onto the windshield.
- Turn ignition to ON.
- Use the wiper stalk for one normal wipe cycle, or turn ignition OFF and then ON to let them park normally.

- Test the washers and wipers on low speed and confirm no skipping or chattering.
- Make sure both blades sit flat and donāt hit the hood or A-pillars.
- Clean the windshield with glass cleaner to prevent streaking.
