📋 Before You Begin

• Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
• Turn the ignition OFF and make sure the wipers are not mid-swipe.
• Place a microfiber towel on the lower windshield area as a safety cushion.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Lift the wiper arms

• Put on nitrile gloves and safety glasses.
• Use a step stool if needed to reach comfortably.
• Use your hands to gently lift the driver-side wiper arm away from the windshield until it stays up.

Step 2: Remove the old blade from the J-hook

• Use your hands to rotate the wiper blade so it’s perpendicular (90°) to the wiper arm.
• Find the small release tab/clip where the blade meets the “J-hook” (the curved end of the arm).
• Use your thumb to press the release tab, then slide the blade down toward the base of the J and off the hook.
• Keep a firm grip on the arm.

Step 3: Install the new blade

• Use your hands to align the new blade’s connector with the wiper arm’s J-hook.
• Slide the blade onto the hook until you hear/feel a solid “click.”
• Gently tug on the blade with your hands to confirm it’s locked in place.

Step 4: Lower the wiper arm carefully

• Use your hands to lower the wiper arm back onto the windshield slowly.
• Remove the microfiber towel from the windshield.

Step 5: Repeat for the passenger side

• Use your hands to repeat Steps 1–4 on the passenger-side wiper blade.

• Turn the ignition ON and run the front wipers on low speed.
• Use washer fluid and confirm both blades wipe cleanly with no streaking or chatter.
• If a blade streaks, use a microfiber towel to clean the windshield and the rubber edge once.
