🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Lift the Driver-Side Wiper Arm

• Use your hand to lift the driver-side wiper arm away from the glass until it stays raised.
• Position the windshield protection towel directly under the raised arm.

Step 2: Release the Old Blade

• Use your hand to rotate the blade until it sits nearly perpendicular to the arm.
• Locate the small locking tab where the blade meets the curved J-hook.
• Press the locking tab with your thumb while sliding the blade down toward the base of the arm.
• Guide the J-hook out through the blade adapter opening.
• Lower the bare arm gently onto the windshield protection towel.
• Never leave the bare arm standing unattended.

Step 3: Install the New Driver-Side Blade

• Use your hands to open the new blade’s adapter cover if the blade instructions require it.
• Pass the curved end of the J-hook through the adapter opening.
• Pull the blade toward the end of the arm until the locking tab clicks firmly into place.
• Tug the blade gently in both directions to confirm it’s locked.
• Close the adapter cover if equipped.

Step 4: Lower the Driver-Side Arm

• Use one hand to support the arm while removing the windshield protection towel with the other.
• Lower the blade gently onto the windshield. Don’t let the spring pull it down.
• Confirm the rubber wiping edge sits flat against the glass.

Step 5: Replace the Passenger-Side Blade

• Move the windshield protection towel beneath the passenger-side arm.
• Use your hands to repeat Steps 1 through 4 on the passenger side.
• Confirm both blade adapters are completely closed and locked.

Step 6: Remove the Blade Protectors

• Use your hands to remove any plastic sleeves or shipping guards from both rubber wiping edges.
• Wipe the new rubber edges once with a clean section of the windshield protection towel.
• No torque specification applies because the blade connectors don’t use bolts.
