🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Create Room on the Driver Side

• Start with the driver-side front turn signal bulb.
• Use the steering wheel to turn the front wheels fully to the right.
• This opens space behind the driver-side front bumper and inner fender liner.
• Use a flashlight to look inside the front wheel opening.

Step 2: Open the Driver-Side Fender Liner Access Area

• Use a flathead screwdriver 1/4-inch to gently lift the center pin of the plastic push clip.
• Use a trim clip removal tool to pull the loosened clip out of the fender liner.
• Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove any small Phillips screw holding the front edge of the liner, if equipped.
• Pull the fender liner back by hand just enough to reach the rear of the headlamp housing.
• Only bend the liner slightly.

Step 3: Locate the Driver-Side Turn Signal Socket

• Use a flashlight to look at the rear of the headlamp housing.
• Find the front turn signal bulb socket. It is the socket leading to the amber turn signal bulb area.
• Do not pull on the wiring harness.

Step 4: Remove the Driver-Side Bulb Socket

• Use your hand to rotate the turn signal bulb socket counterclockwise about a quarter turn.
• Pull the socket straight out of the headlamp housing.
• If it feels stuck, wiggle the socket gently by hand while turning.
• Twist the socket, not the wires.

Step 5: Replace the Driver-Side Bulb

• Use nitrile gloves to hold the old bulb.
• Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket by hand.
• Use a clean microfiber towel if the bulb is slippery.
• Push the new front turn signal bulb straight into the socket until fully seated.
• If you touch the bulb glass, use a clean microfiber towel to wipe it clean.

Step 6: Reinstall the Driver-Side Bulb Socket

• Use your hand to insert the socket straight into the headlamp housing.
• Turn the socket clockwise about a quarter turn until it locks.
• Use a flashlight to confirm the socket sits flat against the housing.

Step 7: Reinstall the Driver-Side Fender Liner

• Move the fender liner back into position by hand.
• Use your hands to reinstall the plastic push clips.
• Push the center pin of each clip flush to lock it.
• Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to reinstall any screw removed earlier.
• Do not overtighten plastic fasteners.

Step 8: Create Room on the Passenger Side

• Use the steering wheel to turn the front wheels fully to the left.
• This opens space behind the passenger-side front bumper and inner fender liner.
• Use a flashlight to look inside the passenger-side front wheel opening.

Step 9: Open the Passenger-Side Fender Liner Access Area

• Use your hand to rotate the socket counterclockwise about a quarter turn.
• Pull the socket straight out of the headlamp housing.
• Keep the wiring relaxed and do not tug on it.

Step 11: Replace the Passenger-Side Bulb

• Use nitrile gloves to pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
• Push the new front turn signal bulb straight into the socket until fully seated.
• Use a clean microfiber towel to wipe the bulb glass if touched.

Step 12: Reinstall the Passenger-Side Bulb Socket

• Use your hand to insert the socket into the headlamp housing.
• Turn the socket clockwise about a quarter turn until it locks.
• Use a flashlight to confirm the socket is seated evenly.

Step 13: Reinstall the Passenger-Side Fender Liner

• Move the fender liner back into place by hand.
• Use your hands to reinstall the plastic push clips.
• Push each clip center pin flush to lock it.
• Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to reinstall any screw removed earlier.
• Check that the liner is not rubbing the tire.

Step 14: Test the Front Turn Signals

• Turn the ignition to accessory mode.
• Use the turn signal stalk to test the left turn signal.
• Walk to the front and confirm the driver-side front turn signal flashes.
• Use the turn signal stalk to test the right turn signal.
• Walk to the front and confirm the passenger-side front turn signal flashes.
• Turn on the hazard switch and confirm both front turn signals flash evenly.
