🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Locate the Turn Signal Socket

• Use your safety glasses and look behind the headlamp housing from inside the engine compartment.
• Identify the turn signal bulb socket by following the wiring to the rear outer portion of the housing.
• Use the microfiber cleaning cloth to remove loose dirt around the socket before opening it.

Step 2: Remove the Bulb Socket

• Use your gloved hand to grip the socket body, not the wires.
• Rotate the socket counterclockwise approximately one-quarter turn.
• Pull the socket straight out of the headlamp housing.
• Do not pull on the wiring.

Step 3: Remove the Old Bulb

• Use your gloved hand to press the bulb gently into the socket.
• Turn the bulb counterclockwise, then lift it out of the socket.
• Inspect the socket for melted plastic, corrosion, or darkened terminals. A damaged socket should be replaced before installing the bulb.

Step 4: Install the New Bulb

• Use clean nitrile gloves to align the offset locating pins on the new 2357NA amber dual-filament bulb with the socket slots.
• Press the bulb gently into the socket and rotate it clockwise until it locks.
• If the glass is touched, use the microfiber cleaning cloth to wipe it clean.
• Never force a misaligned bulb.

Step 5: Reinstall the Socket

• Use your gloved hand to align the socket tabs with the openings in the headlamp housing.
• Insert the socket fully and rotate it clockwise approximately one-quarter turn until secure.
• Confirm the socket seal sits evenly against the housing. No torque specification applies because the socket is hand-locked.

Step 6: Replace the Opposite Bulb

• Use the same clean nitrile gloves and repeat Steps 1-5 on the other headlamp.
• Replacing both bulbs together helps maintain equal brightness and reduces the chance of another failure soon afterward.

Step 7: Check Operation

• Use the vehicle’s turn-signal stalk to test the left and right signals separately.
• Use the hazard-light switch to confirm both front bulbs flash at equal brightness and normal speed.
• If one side flashes rapidly, switch everything off and use your gloved hand to reseat that bulb and socket.
