🔧 Sierra 1500 - Side View Mirror Replacement
Replacing a side mirror on your Sierra means removing the interior trim on the door, unplugging the mirror connector, and swapping the mirror assembly. If your truck has heated mirrors, turn signals, puddle lamps, or power-fold features, the mirror must match those options exactly.
Difficulty Level: Intermediate | Estimated Time: 1-2 hours
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Work with the ignition off and the key far from the truck.
- If the mirror has an airbag-related trim panel nearby, handle clips carefully. Do not force trim.
- Support the mirror with one hand while removing the last fastener so it does not drop.
- If your mirror is heated or powered, unplug the connector before fully removing the assembly.
- Battery disconnect is not usually required, but disconnect the negative cable if you want extra safety while working around electrical connectors.
