🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Remove the inside mirror trim

• Use a plastic trim removal tool to pry off the small interior sail panel at the front upper corner of the door.
• Work slowly so you do not crack the panel or break the clips.

Step 2: Unplug the mirror connector

• Reach behind the opening and find the mirror wiring connector.
• Press the lock tab and unplug it by hand.
• If the tab is tight, use a small pick tool very gently.

Step 3: Remove the mirror nuts

• Use a 10mm socket, ratchet, and short extension to remove the three mirror mounting nuts.
• Support the mirror with your other hand while removing the last nut so it does not fall.

Step 4: Remove the old mirror assembly

• Pull the mirror straight away from the door.
• Lift the wiring connector through the opening carefully.
• Do not twist the mirror housing.

Step 5: Install the new mirror

• Position the new mirror on the door and guide the connector through the opening.
• Start all three nuts by hand first.
• Use the 10mm socket and ratchet to snug the nuts evenly.
• Torque to 8 Nm (71 ft-lbs).

Step 6: Reconnect and reassemble

• Plug the mirror connector back in until it clicks.
• Reinstall the interior sail panel by pressing it into place with your hand.
• Make sure all clips seat fully.
