🔧 Side View Mirrors - Replacement
Replacing the side mirror on your Equinox means removing the inner door trim, unplugging the mirror connector, and swapping the mirror assembly. If your mirror has power adjustment, heating, turn signal, or blind spot indicator, those features transfer through the same electrical plug.
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 1-2 hours per mirror
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Keep the ignition off before unplugging the mirror connector.
- If your mirror has an integrated turn signal or blind spot light, do not pull on the wiring harness.
- Use a trim tool, which is a plastic pry tool that helps remove panels without cracking them.
- Support the mirror with one hand while removing the last nut so it does not drop and scratch the paint.
- Battery disconnect is not required for a basic mirror swap, but turn the key off and wait a few minutes first.
