Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Relieve fuel pressure and disconnect power

Step 2: Raise and support the vehicle

- Remove the old seal/gasket.
Step 8: Install the new fuel pump module
- Install the new seal/gasket on the tank opening.
- Lower the new fuel pump module into place using the same orientation as the old one.
- Install the lock ring and tighten it evenly.
- Do not pinch the seal.
Step 9: Reinstall the fuel tank
- Raise the tank with the transmission jack and reconnect all hoses and plugs.
- Install the tank straps and tighten the strap bolts with a torque wrench.
- Torque on reassembly: Fuel tank strap bolts to 43 Nm (32 ft-lbs).
- Reconnect the filler neck, vent lines, fuel lines, and electrical connector.
Step 10: Reassemble and prime the system
- Reinstall any skid plates or shields with the metric socket set.
- Reconnect the negative battery cable with a 10mm wrench.
- Turn the key to ON for 5 seconds, then OFF. Repeat 3-4 times to prime the fuel system.
