🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Relieve fuel pressure

• Use the owner's manual fuse layout to locate the fuel pump fuse or relay.
• Remove it, then start the engine and let it stall.
• Crank the engine for a few more seconds to bleed off remaining pressure.
• Disconnect the negative battery cable using a 10mm socket.

Step 2: Access the fuel pump

• Move the rear seat cushion to expose the access cover.
• Use a trim panel removal tool and 8mm socket to remove the access cover fasteners.
• Lift the cover carefully and set it aside.
• Keep dirt out of the tank.

Step 3: Disconnect the fuel pump module

• Use a flat blade screwdriver or your fingers to release the electrical connector lock.
• Use the fuel line disconnect tool to release the fuel supply line if equipped with a quick-connect fitting.

Step 4: Remove the pump module
