🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the hood
- Use the interior hood release, then lift the hood and secure it.
Step 2: Remove any access pieces near the headlamp
- If access is tight, use a 10mm socket and ratchet to remove the upper fastener(s) or nearby intake duct pieces that block your hand.
- Set all clips and bolts aside in order.
- Keep hardware organized.
Step 3: Reach the bulb socket
- Reach behind the headlamp housing and locate the turn signal bulb socket.
- Twist the socket counterclockwise by hand to unlock it, then pull it straight out.
Step 4: Replace the bulb
- Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
- Install the new bulb by pressing it straight into the socket until it seats fully.
- Do not force it.
Step 5: Reinstall the socket
- Align the socket tabs with the headlamp housing and twist it clockwise until it locks.
- If you removed any intake duct or cover pieces, reinstall them with the 10mm socket and ratchet.
Step 6: Test the turn signal
- Turn the ignition on and activate the turn signal for the side you replaced.
- Make sure the front bulb flashes normally and matches the other side.
✅ After Repair
- Check both front signals, hazards, and parking lights.
- Verify the bulb is seated fully if it does not light up.
