🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open access to the rear of the headlamp
- Use a flat-blade screwdriver and trim clip removal tool to remove any plastic clips or fasteners holding back the inner fender liner if needed for hand access.
- On some sides, you can reach the bulb from the engine bay without removing anything.
- Work slowly to avoid breaking clips.
Step 2: Remove the bulb socket
- Reach behind the headlamp assembly and find the turn signal bulb socket.
- Use your hand to twist the socket counterclockwise and pull it out of the housing.
- If it is tight, use a flat-blade screwdriver gently to help release the tab.
Step 3: Replace the bulb
- Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
- Push the new amber bulb into the socket until it seats fully.
- Match the old bulb shape before installing.
Step 4: Reinstall the socket
- Line up the socket with the headlamp opening.
- Use your hand to twist it clockwise until it locks in place.
- Make sure it sits snugly so moisture cannot get inside.
Step 5: Test the new bulb
- Turn the ignition on and activate the left and right turn signals one at a time.
- Confirm the new bulb flashes normally and matches the other side.
- If it does not work, remove the socket again and check bulb seating.
✅ After Repair
- Check that the turn signal flashes at normal speed.
- Verify the front parking light and headlight still work.
- Reinstall any liner clips or fasteners you removed.
