📋 Before You Begin
- Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
- Open the hood and locate the air filter box on the passenger side of the engine bay.
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the air filter housing
- Use your hands to release the air box cover clips. If a clip is tight, use a flat-blade screwdriver carefully.
- Lift the cover enough to access the filter.
- Keep the cover steady.
Step 2: Remove the old filter
- Lift the old engine air filter straight out of the housing.
- Check the housing for leaves, dust, or dirt and wipe it clean if needed.
Step 3: Install the new filter
- Place the new engine air filter into the housing the same way the old one came out.
- Make sure the filter sits flat and seals all the way around.
- Don’t force the filter.
Step 4: Close the housing
- Lower the air box cover back into place.
- Reinstall and lock all clips by hand. If needed, use the flat-blade screwdriver gently.
- Make sure the housing is fully closed and sealed.

- Check that the air box is fully latched.
