🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the air filter housing
- Locate the air cleaner box on top of the engine bay.
- Release the retaining clips on the air box cover by hand.
- Do not force the cover.
Step 2: Remove the old air filter
- Lift the cover enough to access the filter.
- Pull the old filter straight out of the housing.
- Check the housing for leaves, dirt, or debris and wipe it clean if needed.
Step 3: Install the new air filter
- Place the new filter into the housing in the same orientation as the old one.
- Make sure the rubber edge seats evenly all the way around.
- A filter that does not sit flat can leak dirty air.
Step 4: Close and secure the air box
- Lower the cover back into place.
- Snap all retaining clips closed by hand.
- Confirm the cover is fully sealed on all sides.
