• Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
• Turn the ignition off and remove the key or fob from the vehicle.
• Open the hood and make sure the air cleaner housing is easy to reach.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the air filter housing

• Locate the air cleaner box on top of the engine bay.
• Release the retaining clips on the air box cover by hand.
• Do not force the cover.

Step 2: Remove the old air filter

• Lift the cover enough to access the filter.
• Pull the old filter straight out of the housing.
• Check the housing for leaves, dirt, or debris and wipe it clean if needed.

Step 3: Install the new air filter

• Place the new filter into the housing in the same orientation as the old one.
• Make sure the rubber edge seats evenly all the way around.
• A filter that does not sit flat can leak dirty air.

Step 4: Close and secure the air box

• Lower the cover back into place.
• Snap all retaining clips closed by hand.
• Confirm the cover is fully sealed on all sides.
