📋 Before You Begin
- Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
- Turn the ignition off and open the hood.
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the air filter box
- Locate the black plastic air box on the right side of the engine bay.
- Use your hands to release the metal clips holding the air box cover.
- Lift the cover gently.
Step 2: Remove the old filter
- Lift the old engine air filter straight out of the air box by hand.
- Be careful not to drop dirt into the intake opening.
- If there is loose debris, wipe it out carefully by hand.
Step 3: Install the new filter
- Place the new engine air filter into the air box in the same position as the old one.
- Make sure the rubber edge sits flat all the way around.
- Do not force it.
Step 4: Close the air box
- Set the cover back on the air box.
- Use your hands to snap both metal clips back into place.
- Make sure the cover is fully sealed on all sides.

- Start the engine and listen for any unusual intake noise.
- Make sure the air box cover is seated evenly and latched.
- Check that no tools or rags were left in the engine bay.
