📋 Before You Begin
- Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
- Turn the ignition off and remove the key/fob from the vehicle.
- Open the hood and make sure the engine is cool.
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the air filter housing
- Locate the engine air box on the engine bay side of the intake system.
- Use the Torx T25 screwdriver to remove the air box cover screws, if equipped.
- Release any retaining clips with your hands or a flat blade screwdriver.
- Lift the cover slowly.
Step 2: Remove the old filter
- Lift the old air filter straight out of the housing.
- Check the housing for leaves, dirt, or debris.
- If needed, use a clean cloth to wipe out the inside of the air box.
- Do not let debris fall into the intake tube.
Step 3: Install the new filter
- Place the new engine air filter into the housing the same way the old one came out.
- Make sure the filter sits flat all the way around.
- If it does not sit flush, remove it and reseat it before closing the cover.
- Check the rubber seal all the way around.
Step 4: Reassemble the air box
- Reinstall the air box cover.
- Reinstall the Torx screws with the Torx T25 screwdriver, if removed.
- Snap the retaining clips back into place.
- Do not overtighten the screws.

- Start the engine and let it idle for a minute.
- Listen for any air leaks or whistling around the air box.
- Make sure the hood closes properly and no tools are left in the engine bay.
