• Open the hood and secure it fully.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the air cleaner box

• Locate the black air box on the engine side of the compartment.
• Use your hands to release the metal clips or loosen the cover fasteners, depending on what is fitted.
• Lift the top of the air box carefully.
• Do not force any clip.

Step 2: Remove the old air filter

• Lift the old engine air filter straight out of the housing.
• Watch for dirt or leaves in the bottom of the box.
• If debris is present, wipe it out gently with a clean cloth.

Step 3: Install the new air filter

• Place the new engine air filter into the housing in the same orientation as the old one.
• Make sure the filter sits flat all the way around the edge.
• Seal all the way around matters.

Step 4: Close the air cleaner box

• Lower the cover back into place.
• Reinstall or snap shut all clips by hand.
• Check that the lid is fully seated and secure on every side.
