📋 Before You Begin

  • Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
  • Turn the ignition off and remove the key or fob from the vehicle.
  • Open the hood and locate the air filter box near the engine bay.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the air filter housing

  • Release the air box clips or fasteners by hand.
  • Lift the top of the air filter housing carefully.
  • Keep the lid clean.

Step 2: Remove the old air filter

  • Lift the old filter straight out of the air box.
  • Check the housing for dirt, leaves, or debris.
  • If needed, wipe the inside of the air box clean with a dry cloth.

Step 3: Install the new air filter

  • Place the new filter into the housing the same way the old one came out.
  • Make sure the filter sits flat and the edge seal is fully seated.
  • Do not force the filter.

Step 4: Reinstall the air box lid

  • Lower the top half of the housing back into place.
  • Reattach all clips or fasteners by hand.
  • Make sure the box is fully closed all the way around.

  • Start the engine and listen for any unusual intake noises.
  • Make sure the air box is sealed properly.
  • Confirm the hood is fully latched before driving.
