Step 1: Open the air cleaner housing
- Locate the black air box near the front of the engine bay.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver or flat-head screwdriver to loosen any air box clips or screws, depending on the clamp style.
- Lift the air box lid carefully.
- Do not let dirt fall inside.
Step 2: Remove the old filter
- Lift the old engine air filter straight out of the housing.
- Check the inside of the air box for leaves, dirt, or sand.
