📋 Before You Begin

• 🅿️ Park on level ground, shift to Park, and set the parking brake.
• 🧼 Wipe loose dust off the top of the airbox so it doesn’t fall inside when opened.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the hood

• Open the hood and support it securely.
• Use a flashlight to locate the airbox (the large black plastic box connected to the intake tube).

Step 2: Unlatch the airbox cover

• Find the metal clips (latches) around the airbox lid.
• Release the clips by hand; if a clip is tight, gently help it with a flathead screwdriver.
• Don’t pry hard—clips bend easily.

Step 3: Lift the airbox lid

• Lift the lid enough to access the filter.
• If the lid feels stuck, check for a hidden clip or a tight intake tube connection before forcing it.

Step 4: Remove the old air filter

• Pull the filter straight up and out.
• Use a shop towel to wipe out loose dirt in the bottom of the airbox.
• Do not let debris fall into the intake opening.

Step 5: Install the new air filter

• Set the new filter into the airbox the same way the old one came out.
• Make sure the filter sits flat all the way around (no corners folded or lifted).

Step 6: Close and latch the airbox

• Lower the airbox lid back into place.
• Re-engage all clips by hand.
• Torque: No torque spec applies; clips should be fully seated and snug by hand.
