šØ Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 2: Release the glove box so it can swing down
- On the right side, locate the small ādampenerā arm (a little strut that slows the glove box). Use a plastic trim removal tool set (specialty) to gently pop it off its pin if needed. (A trim tool is a plastic pry tool that helps remove clips without scratching.)
- Push the glove box sides inward with your hands (one side at a time) to clear the built-in stops, then let the glove box swing down.

- Use your fingers or a plastic trim removal tool set (specialty) to press the coverās tabs and pull the cover off.
Step 4: Remove the old cabin air filter
- Slide the old filter straight out.
- Use a flashlight to check for leaves/debris in the filter slot, and remove loose debris by hand (with nitrile gloves on).
Step 5: Install the new cabin air filter (correct direction)
- Look for the airflow arrow printed on the filter frame.
- Install the filter with the airflow arrow pointing down (toward the floor). If your new filter is labeled āAIR FLOW,ā match it to the direction of airflow through the housing.
- Tip: If it buckles, pull it out and re-seat.
Step 6: Reinstall the cover and glove box
- Reinstall the cabin filter cover by pushing it on until the tabs click.
- Lift the glove box back up, push the sides inward again, and guide it past the stops.
- Reconnect the dampener arm on the right side (it should snap back onto its pin).
