🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the glove box

• Use your hands to open the glove box and remove any items inside.
• Let the glove box drop down slowly.
• Do not pry hard.

Step 2: Release the glove box stops

• Push in on both sides of the glove box to release the side stops.
• This allows the glove box to swing fully downward.

Step 3: Remove the filter cover

• Locate the cabin filter cover behind the glove box.
• Use a trim tool or your fingers to release the cover tabs and remove the cover.
• Keep the cover in a safe place.

Step 4: Remove the old cabin air filter

• Pull the old filter straight out of the housing.
• Note the airflow arrow on the filter before removing it.
• If there is heavy dirt, tap it gently into a trash bag.

Step 5: Install the new cabin air filter

• Slide the new filter into the housing in the same direction as the airflow arrow.
• Make sure it sits flat and fully seated.

Step 6: Reinstall the cover and glove box

• Reinstall the filter cover until it clicks into place.
• Lift the glove box back up and let the side stops engage.
• Close the glove box and check that it opens and closes normally.
