- Turn the ignition off and remove the key/fob from the vehicle.
- Work slowly around the glove box to avoid breaking the plastic stops or damper arm.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the glove box fully
- Use your hands to lower the glove box door all the way down.
- Remove any items inside the glove box so they do not fall out.
Step 2: Release the glove box stops
- Use a trim panel tool to gently press inward on the glove box side stops.
- Let the glove box hang down farther so you can reach the filter housing.
- Work gently to avoid cracking the plastic.
Step 3: Disconnect the damper arm
- Use a flat-blade screwdriver if needed to carefully pop the small damper arm off its pin.
- This lets the glove box drop fully out of the way.
Step 4: Remove the cabin filter cover
- Use your fingers to release the tabs on the filter cover behind the glove box.
- Pull the cover straight off to expose the filter.
Step 5: Remove the old filter
- Slide the old cabin air filter out by hand.
- Watch the airflow arrow direction on the old filter before removing it.
Step 6: Install the new filter
- Use the new cabin air filter and slide it into the housing in the same direction as the airflow arrow on the old one.
- Make sure it sits flat and fully seated.
Step 7: Reinstall the cover and glove box
- Use your hands to snap the filter cover back into place.
- Reattach the glove box damper arm.
- Lift the glove box back into position and snap the side stops back into place.
✅ After Repair
- Turn the blower fan on and check for strong airflow.
- Listen for rattles from the glove box area.
