Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the glove box
- Use your hands to open the glove box fully.
- Empty the glove box if it is heavy.
- Go slow to avoid breaking tabs.
Step 2: Release the glove box stops
- Use your hands to gently squeeze both sides of the glove box inward.
- This clears the glove box stops so the box can hang down farther.
- If needed, use a trim tool or small flat-blade screwdriver very carefully to help lift the side tabs.
Step 3: Remove the cabin filter cover
- Look behind the glove box for the rectangular cabin filter access cover.
- Use your hand to unclip the cover and remove it.
- Keep steady pressure on the clips.

- Slide the old cabin air filter straight out.
- Pay attention to the airflow arrow on the filter before removing it.
