🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open and support the glove box
- Open the glove box fully.
- Use your hands to lower it slowly so you can see the stops on both sides.
- Go slowly to avoid cracking plastic.
Step 2: Release the glove box stops
- Use a trim panel tool to gently press the side stops inward if needed.
- Let the glove box swing down farther until it hangs open.
- Do not pry hard on the hinges or side tabs.
Step 3: Remove the cabin filter access cover
- Look behind the glove box for the rectangular cabin filter door.
- Use your fingers or a small flat-blade screwdriver to release the retaining tabs.
- Remove the cover and set it aside.
Step 4: Remove the old cabin air filter
- Pull the old filter straight out.
- Pay attention to the airflow arrow on the filter before removing it.
- If it is packed with dirt or leaves, hold it level so debris does not fall into the housing.
Step 5: Install the new cabin air filter
- Use the new cabin air filter and match the airflow arrow to the direction marked on the housing.
- Slide the filter in fully and make sure it sits flat.
- Check the arrow before pushing it in.
Step 6: Reinstall the cover and glove box
- Reinstall the filter cover until the tabs click into place.
- Lift the glove box back up and re-engage the side stops.
- Close the glove box and make sure it opens and closes normally.

- Listen for any rattles from the glove box area.
