Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the glove box fully
- Use your hand to lower the glove box and let it open all the way.

Step 2: Release the glove box dampener and side stops
- Use your fingers to unhook the glove box damper arm from the passenger side.
- Press inward on both sides of the glove box to clear the side stops and let the box hang down farther.

- Use your fingers to unclip the cover and remove it.
Step 4: Remove the old cabin air filter
- Slide the old filter out carefully.

- Lift the glove box back into position.
- Reattach the side stops and reconnect the damper arm.
