🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the glove box
- Use your hands to open the glove box fully.
- Remove any items inside so nothing falls out.
Step 2: Release the glove box stops
- Use your hands to gently push in both sides of the glove box so the stops clear the dashboard opening.
- Let the glove box swing down slowly.
- Do not force it.
Step 3: Remove the filter cover
- Use your hands to release the cabin filter cover behind the glove box.
- If it feels tight, use a trim tool carefully to help pop the cover loose.
Step 4: Remove the old cabin air filter
- Pull the old filter straight out by hand.
- Note the airflow arrow on the filter frame before removing it.
Step 5: Install the new cabin air filter
- Insert the new filter by hand with the airflow arrow pointing the same direction as the old one.
- Push it in fully so it seats evenly.
Step 6: Reinstall the cover and glove box
- Snap the filter cover back into place by hand.
- Lift the glove box back up and push the sides inward so the stops clear the opening.
- Close the glove box slowly.

- Turn the HVAC blower on and check for normal airflow.
- Make sure the glove box opens and closes correctly.
- If airflow is still weak, check that the filter is seated correctly.
