- Use a trim removal tool (plastic) (specialty) to gently release any plastic clips on the microfilter cover(s). Plastic tools help prevent scratches.

Step 3: Lift off the cover(s)
- Lift the plastic cover(s) up and out.
- If it feels stuck, use the trim removal tool (plastic) (specialty) to gently free the edgeādonāt force it.
Step 4: Remove the old cabin filters
- Pull the old filter(s) straight out by the frame using nitrile gloves.
- Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame before you remove it. Match the arrow on the new one.
Step 5: Clean out the filter housing
- Use a shop vacuum with soft brush attachment to remove leaves and dust from the housing area.
- Keep the vacuum nozzle away from delicate plastic edges and wiring.
Step 6: Install the new cabin filters
- Slide the new filter(s) into the housing the same way the originals came out.
- Make sure the filter edges sit fully in their tracks so the cover seals properly.
Step 7: Reinstall the cover(s) and fasteners
- Reinstall the cover(s) in the same position they came off.
- Install the fasteners by hand first to avoid cross-threading, then tighten using the 8mm socket or Torx T20 driver.

Step 8: Final check
- Use the small flashlight to confirm the covers sit flush and no gaps are visible.
- Remove tools and close the hood securely.
