🔧 Battery - Replacement
Your Yaris uses a standard 12V battery in the engine bay. Replacing it means disconnecting the old battery, swapping the new one in, and tightening the hold-down and terminals correctly so the car starts reliably.
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 0.5-1 hour
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key before starting.
- Wear safety glasses and gloves. Battery acid can burn skin and eyes.
- Remove the negative cable first, then the positive cable.
- Do not let a wrench touch both battery terminals or metal body parts at the same time.
- Keep sparks, cigarettes, and open flame away from the battery.
- If your radio or clock has memory presets, they may reset when power is disconnected.
