š Before You Begin
- š æļø Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
- š¦ Open the trunk and set a flashlight where it can shine into the side trim area.

šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Access the rear lamp from inside the trunk
- Open the trunk and locate the trunk side trim panel on the side of the turn signal youāre replacing.
- Use a plastic trim removal tool set to pop out any push-clips holding the trunk side trim in place.
- If a fastener uses a screw head, remove it with a Phillips screwdriver #2.
- Pull the trim back just enough to reach the rear lamp bulb sockets behind the tail lamp area.
Step 2: Identify the turn signal bulb socket
- Use a flashlight to look at the back of the rear lamp assembly (youāll see multiple twist-lock sockets).
- The turn signal socket is one of the larger twist sockets; do not unplug anything yet.
- If unsure, turn hazards on briefly to confirm. Then turn ignition OFF again.
Step 3: Remove the turn signal bulb socket
- Grip the socket and rotate it counterclockwise about 1/4 turn by hand, then pull it straight out.
- If itās tight, use nitrile gloves for extra grip (donāt use pliersāyou can crack the socket).
Step 4: Replace the bulb
- Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket (itās a āpush-inā style).
- Push the new rear turn signal bulb (amber) straight into the socket until fully seated.
- Donāt touch the bulb glass if possible. If you do, wipe it clean and dry.
Step 5: Reinstall the socket and reassemble trim
- Insert the socket back into the lamp housing and rotate clockwise to lock.
- Reposition the trunk trim and reinstall clips by pressing them in by hand.
- If you removed any 10mm nuts/bolts for trim brackets, reinstall using a 10mm socket and 1/4" ratchet, then Torque to 5 Nm (44 in-lbs).
ā After Repair
- š Turn the ignition ON and test left and right turn signals and hazards.
- š Verify the blink rate is normal (fast blinking usually means a bulb is still out).
- š§ If the new bulb doesnāt light, remove the socket and reseat the bulb and socket fully.
