š Before You Begin
- Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
- Open the liftgate so you can access the inboard edge of the tail lamp.

šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Confirm you have a replaceable bulb
- Turn the ignition ON and activate the hazards to confirm which rear turn signal is out, then turn ignition OFF.
- If your rear turn signal is an LED (no bulb socket that twists out), you may need a lamp assembly repair instead of a bulb.
Step 2: Remove the tail lamp retaining fasteners
- At the inboard edge of the tail lamp (visible with liftgate open), remove the two retaining screws.
- Use a Torx T15 screwdriver if the screws are Torx.
- If yours are hex-head instead, use a 10mm socket with a 1/4" ratchet and 6" extension for 1/4" ratchet.
- Keep the screws in a cup.
Step 3: Pull the tail lamp assembly straight back
- Grip the lamp and pull straight rearward (toward you). Itās held by alignment pins/grommets.
- If itās stuck, use a trim removal tool (plastic) to gently help it releaseādo not pry against painted edges.
- Support the lamp so it doesnāt hang by the wiring.
Step 4: Remove the rear turn signal bulb socket
- Locate the turn signal bulb socket on the back of the lamp housing.
- Twist the socket counterclockwise about 1/4 turn and pull it out.
Step 5: Replace the bulb
- Wear nitrile gloves and pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
- Install the new bulb by pushing it straight in until fully seated.
- If you have it, apply a tiny amount of dielectric grease to the socket seal (not on the bulb glass).
Step 6: Reinstall the bulb socket and tail lamp
- Insert the socket into the housing and twist clockwise to lock.
- Align the lampās guide pins with the body grommets, then push the lamp straight in until fully seated and flush.
- Reinstall the two retaining screws using a Torx T15 screwdriver or 10mm socket (whichever matches yours).
- Torque to 22 in-lbs (2.5 Nm) using a torque wrench (in-lb).
Step 7: Repeat on the other side (recommended)
- Replace the other rear turn signal bulb so both sides match brightness and age.

- Turn ignition ON and test: left turn, right turn, and hazards.
- Confirm the tail lamp sits flush all around (prevents water intrusion).
- If the turn signal flashes fast, recheck the bulb seating and confirm you installed the correct bulb type.
