Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the cargo access panel
- Open the liftgate and move any cargo out of the way.
- Use a flat trim tool to carefully pop off the rear interior access panel behind the tail lamp.
- Work slowly to avoid breaking the clips.
Step 2: Remove the bulb socket
- Reach into the tail lamp opening and locate the turn signal bulb socket.
- Twist the socket counterclockwise by hand to unlock it, then pull it straight out.
- If it is tight, use a clean microfiber cloth for a better grip.
Step 3: Replace the bulb
- Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
- Push the new bulb in firmly until it seats fully.
- Use gloves so you don’t transfer oil or dirt to the bulb.
