🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the trunk and access the tail lamp area
- Open the trunk and go to the side with the failed turn signal.
- Use your hand or a trim panel tool to remove the small trunk-side access cover behind the tail lamp.
- Work slowly to avoid breaking clips.
Step 2: Remove the bulb holder
- Reach into the opening and locate the rear turn signal bulb socket.
- Use your hand to twist the socket counterclockwise and pull it out of the tail lamp housing.
- If it is stuck, use a small flathead screwdriver very gently to help release it.
Step 3: Replace the bulb
- Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
- Install the new amber rear turn signal bulb by pushing it straight into the socket.
- Make sure the bulb is fully seated.
- Do not twist the bulb into place.
Step 4: Reinstall the bulb holder
- Insert the socket back into the tail lamp housing.
- Twist it clockwise until it locks in place.
- Make sure it feels secure and fully seated.

- Confirm the bulb flashes normally and at the correct brightness.
Step 6: Reinstall the access cover
- Put the trunk access cover back in place.
