🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the rear hatch and access the lamp area

• Open the liftgate fully.
• Move any cargo out of the way so you can reach the rear lamp access area.
• Use a flashlight to locate the rear lamp service covers inside the hatch opening.

Step 2: Remove the access cover

• Use a trim panel tool to carefully pry off the rear lamp access cover.
• Work slowly so you do not damage the plastic clips.
• Keep the cover in a safe spot.

Step 3: Remove the turn signal bulb socket

• Reach into the opening and locate the turn signal bulb socket.
• Twist the socket counterclockwise by hand and pull it straight out.
• If it feels stuck, wiggle gently instead of forcing it.

Step 4: Replace the bulb

• Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
• Install the new bulb into the socket by pushing it in firmly.
• Make sure the bulb is fully seated and straight.

Step 5: Reinstall the socket

• Align the socket tabs with the housing.
• Insert the socket and twist it clockwise until it locks.
• Check that it sits snugly in place.

Step 6: Test the turn signal

• Turn the ignition on.
• Activate the left and right turn signals one at a time.
• Confirm the rear bulbs flash normally.
• If the bulb does not light, remove it and reinstall it, then test again.

Step 7: Reinstall the access cover

• Snap the access cover back into place by hand.
• Make sure it is fully seated and flush with the trim.
