🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the rear access area

• Open the liftgate.
• If needed, move aside any cargo trim or covers to reach the rear of the tail lamp area.
• Keep the area clean.

Step 2: Remove the tail lamp fasteners

• Use a 10mm socket and ratchet to remove the tail lamp retaining bolts.
• Set the bolts aside in a safe place.

Step 3: Remove the tail lamp assembly

• Gently pull the tail lamp assembly straight back.
• If it feels stuck, use a trim panel tool to help release the alignment pins without damaging the body.
• Pull straight, not sideways.

Step 4: Replace the turn signal bulb

• Locate the turn signal bulb socket on the back of the lamp assembly.
• Twist the socket counterclockwise by hand and remove it.
• Remove the old bulb from the socket and install the new bulb.
• Use gloves when handling the new bulb.

Step 5: Reinstall the socket and tail lamp

• Insert the bulb socket back into the lamp housing and twist it clockwise to lock it.
• Align the tail lamp assembly with the body openings.
