🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Remove the tail lamp screws

• Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the two screws on the inboard side of the tail lamp (visible with the tailgate open).
• Set the screws somewhere safe so they don’t fall inside the bumper area.

Step 2: Pull the tail lamp assembly off

• Use a plastic trim removal tool to gently start the lamp outward if it’s stuck.
• Pull the lamp straight back with steady pressure to release the locating pins.

Step 3: Remove the turn signal bulb socket

• Find the socket that corresponds to the turn signal (typically the outer/colored bulb in the housing).
• Twist the socket counterclockwise by hand and pull it out of the tail lamp.

Step 4: Replace the bulb

• Wear nitrile gloves.
• Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
• Push the new bulb straight into the socket until fully seated.

• Insert the socket into the tail lamp and twist clockwise until it locks.
